Meet Joanne Ruelos Diaz

JOANNE RUELOS DIAZ is a Filipino-American writer and children’s book author. Her books include The Little Book of Joy: 365 Ways to Celebrate Every Day and The Little Book of Words That Matter. 

 Joanne’s very first job was at Sesame Street Magazine writing dialogue for Grover, poems about the number 4, and facts about manatees. Ever since, she’s tried to make the world more like Sesame Street by celebrating silliness, curiosity, diversity, and joy. 

Joanne writes books for kids, essays for grown-ups, resources for teachers, and messages for the group chat. When Joanne isn’t (procrastinating) writing, she might be teaching yoga.
