Meet Ali Prato

ALI PRATO is a writer, storyteller, and podcast host whose work centers on the messy, meaningful, and sometimes uncomfortable stories of family building. She is the creator and host of the top-rated podcast Infertile AF, which has reached more than 2.3 million downloads across 365+ episodes and has become a trusted resource for people navigating infertility, IVF, surrogacy, donor conception, LGBTQ+ family building, and more.

Ali is also the author of the Work of ART children’s book series, created to help families talk openly with kids about how they were conceived through IVF and other forms of assisted reproduction. Her work has been featured in People, Entrepreneur, and Parents, and she is the co-founder of Fertility Rally, a global support community for people on fertility journeys.

A longtime journalist and former magazine entertainment editor, Ali has spent her career telling other people’s stories in Playboy, Rolling Stone, Harper’s Bazaar, Health, and Teen Vogue, among others. She lives in Maplewood, New Jersey with her husband, Vince, their kids Ever and Sonny, and their dogs, Sweet Baby Ray and Gigi, where someone is always asking for a snack.
